the rest of our Christmas vacation...so far

The day after Christmas we all went to see a movie. We met Ted and joy and the gang at the theater. Most of us saw the new National Treasure movie and Ted and Matt saw I am Legend. Ours was pretty good, they didn't say much about theirs. After the movie we went back to Ted and Joy's house. We played games and just sat around and talked it was nice. We had a lot of fun but I didn't take my camera.

Here are some more pictures from Christmas day. My girls decided to fight over one present! i love Gina's reaction to opening the gift we got for Lulu! We had a lot of fun that night. Big Ryan decided to wear my Ryan's tool belt. It fit him very nicely! Tomorrow we are having everyone over for our annual New Year's eve bash. We play games, dye our hair and do parrafin wax hand dips. We have sooooo much food. It should be a good time. We also bang pots and pans and yell like fools outside before our little family parade around the house! I hope you all have a wonderful and SAFE New Year's!

Wii had lots of fun!!

Boy, was the Wii a big hit. I mean I knew Kevin and Ryan would love it BUT everyone who touches the thing can play, have fun and actually be good at it. Kevin's Grandma played, my Mom is addicted. Even I like it and I HATE video games. It isn't like any other game I've played. We all like the bowling, it seems so real and has realistic sounds. We also got one called Carnival Games and I like almost all of those. Ring toss, Skee Ball, shooting gallery it is all fun. Christmas night when the Slye's came over the real competions started, they had a homerun derby that was funny. Bethany cracked me up, it took her all night but she got her home run. Of course David is good at every game and wins almost everyone. It really is a lot of fun for the whole family AND it does get up you up and moving. Weather it be just standing up for your turn or a 3 minute boxing match that leaves everyone out of breath. I forgot to take pictures of Ted and Joy when they played and I haven't downloaded the pics of Dad and Julia yet. Oh I got some funny ones. The one of Mom boxing cracks me up, she really has her guard up, that is a woman who doesn't want to be hit in the face. The pictures are just taking to long, you get the point, it was fun, everyone did it...bye bye now!

The Cuckoos

We went to Kevin's parents after opening our gifts at home. Emma, Kevin's cousin also got a Wii and took it to their house. We all bowled before we ate. It was really funny...pictures of that to come later. We ate and then opened presents. I got the Pyrex I asked for and a couple of CDs and other stuff. Ryan and Kevin both got Wii stuff, they were thrilled and Ryan got a ton of noisy toys! All had batteries and were ready to make me crazy. Of course there were more Star Wars guys, legos and webkinz! We really had a good time and left just in time to get home to everyone coming over to our house for more fun. More later...

Christmas Morning

Ryan was so excited when he woke up. I came downstairs to get the camera's ready and let the dogs out. Ryan was suppose to tell me when they were coming down but didn't so I missed his face when he came down the stairs, I heard him yell "he came" from the other room. He loved everything he got. He didn't open the presents in any organized fashion, he would open one from the frint and then climb in the back or way under the tree for another present. He is so silly! Then Grammy got here and they exchange their present when Ryan was done with his. They both loved their gifts too. Kevin set up the Wii while we were cleaning up a bit. I don't know who was more excited Ryan or Grammy. We had to go to Kevin's parents after that so Grammy got to stay and play Wii. I got some nice things from my husband who wasn't suppose to buy me anything. I got the KitchenAid blender I have been wanting forever. I also got a great rolling bag for my Cricut and some markers for it. The girls got a few present each but decided to fight over one...they are sisters!! Kevin got a razor and new MP3 player, yes, I knew he bought me stuff so I got him some things too. We had a wonderful morning!

Getting Ready for Santa

Ryan takes putting out the cookies and milk and the reindeer food very seriously. He has to pick just the right cookies, and put ice in the milk so it is still cold by the time Santa gets here. He also put the reindeer food on a plate this year. He gets so excited on Christmas eve it is so cute!

Christmas Eve Presents

We had fun opening our gifts, EVEN though Adam opened his as slow as possible to delay my turn. He thought he was quite funny! We got a lot of nice things. My Beauty and the Beast nesting dolls being my favorite. I also got adorable tinker Bell Jammies that will be featured in Christmas morning pictures! Kevin got a table tennis Wii game which he and David LOVE! Even the doggies got presents which they loved too. Elaine cried when she opened their webcams, it was sweet. We really had a relaxing and fun night! After David opened his keyboard we all out it together and Aaron, Ryan and David played us lots of shall we call them songs. We left about 9:30 with a very sleepy boy. We had to wake him up when we got home to leave cookies for Santa and his reindeer food out. He was then so excited he couldn't sleep. Those pictures to come later. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas eve too. Oh on Saturday we went to the Slye family party but I left my camera in the garage...I was bummed. I got to meet Jaelyn, she is the sweetest little thing. I held her for a long time. We all sat around and talked and got caught up on each other's lives. We are going to have a new Slye baby in April, exciting news. My cousin Angie was there and we talked forever. She is such a sweet girl, I love her to death. Ryan played his first game of football, he loved it. I will post our cookies and milk later...chow girls.

Sleepy Christmas Eve

We went to Dad's house about 2pm on Christmas eve. Aaron made us a yummy meal. We played Marvel Scene it, which we were all horrible at but it was fun. At all different times there was napping, I got lots of pictures of sleepy people and doggies. We had a ton of fun, I just like taking pictures of sleepy things. It was about time to let the paper fly.

Amanda sent me this awesome pillow she made for me!! Isn't it gorgeous! I just love it. She made it with my girls on it, well a golden. Isn't it just amazing? I love it. thank you so much Amanda, it means the world to me!!!
