Leaves

Ryan and the girls had so much fun playing in the leaves. They jumped in them and buried themselves in them. The girls kept attacking Ryan, he could just laugh and giggle. This was a great afternoon for a boy and his dogs. They had a blast. I looked out the window at one point and Violet was laying belly up in a big pile of leaves and Ryan was burying her face. She loved it. They played for hours. It was too cold for Mommy.

Ryan's Tree

Ryan has his own Christmas tree in our family room. He puts all the ornaments people get for him on it. He also has the Star Wars ornaments. He picks through all of our ornaments and chooses only the ones he likes the best for his tree. He takes this very seriously. This year he's most excited about his new CARS and Pirates ornaments. He is very proud of his tree.

Our Beautiful Tree

We finally finished our trees tonight. They turned out great. We all love to decorate the tree. We play Christmas music and do all the ornaments together, then Ryan and Daddy put Tinker Bell on top. (our Disney version of an Angel). All the ornaments on our family tree are Disney. We all love Christmas decorations, we plan on finishing our villages tomorrow. Merry Christmas everyone.

Call from Santa

Tonight Ryan got a call from Santa. He was so surprised and shocked. He just stood wide eyed and mouth opened, listening to Santa tell him about how busy things are and about the reindeer. He was also very excited about the Elf who told him Santa was calling and to hold on while he got him. He called everyone to tell them about it. It was fun listening to him telling everyone what had happened. He would say even the caller id said North Pole. It was great, I can't wait until it happens again. this picture is while he was listening to Santa, on speaker phone so Mommy and Daddy could hear too.

We took Ryan to the Indianapolis Museum on our way back from Chicago. Here are picture of Ryan and Daddy and their awesome domino path they set up. Ryan loved seeing them fall. Here are Ryan and Daddy learning about the pioneer days. Ryan was fascinated by the old buildings and animal skins. We really had a lot of fun at the Indianapolis Museum. It was an amazing place. We were there all day and only got to see about half the stuff quickly. We plan to go back sometime when we have more time to spend there. It was great.

Animal Lover

My little animal lover. Ryan absolutely loves animals. I think it is one of the sweetest things about him. I think he may actually be a vet or some kind of conservationist. He really cares about nature and now he wants to take care of all the animals. He wants to recycle and save energy. It's amazing how important these things become to us when they get passionate about them. I love this picture of him and this frog. These frogs are all over our yard and our pool. Ryan even swims with them on his head, he loves these silly little frogs. They don't seem to be afraid of him at all. We call him the frog whisperer. He is going to do big things for animals someday.

Boy Do Things Change

I visited the camp I worked out for 5 years as a teenager yesterday. There are only a couple of building that look the same. The whole place is different. It looks beautiful but not like my old camp. On the other hand we are having a family wedding in the dining hall, the new and very beautiful dining hall. It's the perfect place for a simple and rustic wedding, stone fireplace, big wood beams, it's just perfect. I thing everyone will be very impressed with the elegance of this wedding. It was kinda sad to see my old stomping grounds so different but wonderful new memories are going to be made there, and I will never forget my camp.
