First Skating Party

Once a month they have a skating party at Castle Skate in Loveland for Ryan's school. He has never wanted to go before but decided he wanted to do it this month. We picked up 2 of his friends and went. He has never skated before. He got his skates on and I was tying his friends skates look up and he was gone. He clung to the wall for a bit and then the girls dragged him off. He fell a lot but did very well for never being on skates before. He was doing really well by the time we left. He had a lot of fun. Tons of his friends were there. They also bought blowup hammers and had a little war. It was a good night for all!! Looks like we'll be going every month!

What a Morning!

Oh my this morning sucked!! I got up to a horrible smell, Violet was sick. A few days ago she ate an entire chicken carcass. Well she was passing blood this morning. I had to clean up her cage and get Ryan ready for school. Meanwhile Kevin carried Violet up to our shower and cleaned her up. She was still passing blood so we took her to the animal hospital. Well it turns out she is fine. Her stomach and colon are irritated. She is on medicine and can't eat all day today, then she should be fine. So many hours and 300 bucks later our baby is fine! It was a scare but all is well.

The good news is we got the dining room floor completely done last night and should be able to lay the rest of the living room floor tonight! I am so excited. All the painting is done, the floor will be down tonight. Then we have to do the floor boards and put everything back. The furniture is all around the house and I have tons of pictures and shelves to put back on the walls. The hardest part for me will be putting everything back in my curios! By the end of the weekend we hope to be finished with everything.

Well I have lots of laundry and cleaning up to do. CIAO!!

Our Weekend

We actually had a very nice weekend, although we didn't get to put in the new floor. Friday night we went to the Cyclones game with cub scouts. Unfortunately they lost but Ryan had a blast! The cub scout got to go down on the ice after the game, he thought that was amazing!

Saturday Kev and Ryan went to the Bearcats game. I just hung out at home and Lowe's with Dad and Julia and David. David is obsessed wit Nerf guns, he needs to get help!

We also painted our living room 3 times. Yes, 3 different times, not 3 coats of one color, oh no not us. we actually painted it 3 different colors, we finally got the right one on Sunday and finished it. The floor had to be put on hold because the pad that goes under it wasn't in yet, it should be here today and we can get started.

I have pics to post of the game but I haven't loaded them yet. That is about it. It was a nice weekend. I hope everyone else had a great one!

Update 2009

We have been very busy! Besides the holidays and then the holiday clean up we have torn out all the carpet, I now have plywood floors, and have painted the dining room. Unfortunately we painted 1 wall about 5 times before I finally found a color I loved. Now we are going to paint the living room. then we are going to lay down the wood floors. Thanks to all those who looked at all the samples and helped me decide on which floor I wanted. The floor is here and we hope to start laying it on Saturday. We have to wait for a few more things to come in. I will post pics when we finally get it done.

There has been a wonderful change in my son. He has been so mouthy and rotten for months, just terrible. Very mean. Well over the holidays our schedules were so messed up half the time he fell asleep in the car or on the couch without taking his medicine. Well we noticed a huge difference in his attitude. I have since stopped giving him his medicine and he is the caring loving boy I always knew was in there. oh he isn't perfect but he is good. I am amazed!! I hope it last. i will have to talk to his doctor about his meds, he seems to be doing fine right now without them but winter isn't a huge allergy time for us. We'll see.

I added some pics of us getting beautiful on New Year's eve just because I like looking at everyone else's pics. Hope you like'em. Oh my I just saw the first few that popped up, not pretty, funny but not pretty. The process isn't pretty but boy were we when we finished. Unfortunately we didn't take any after shots, you'll just have to take my word for it!

Guess that is it. Nothing else really interesting going on.

WAR on New Year's Eve!!!

Here are pics from our biggest nerf war yet. Everyone was involved, (well I took pics and Bethany, well she just dodge bullets) we actually had about 3 wars that night but this was the big one. At one point Dad, David and Julia had Ryan, Kevin and Aaron trapped upstairs. They had the stairs covered. Then next thing we know the front door comes flying open and Ryan and Kevin come down the stairs shooting, David is screaming and running being assaulted from all side. Aaron had climbed out the window and down the house from upstairs, the boy is nuts!! Aaron went just a little more crazy that night!! The boys also kept tackling each other. We also had tons of food and played other games. Like Amish dice and Tri-Bond. Then after midnight we started our annual beauty treatments, including facial mask, hair coloring and of course parrfin waxing!! More pics too come.

New Year Celebration and Parade

Every year we bang our pots and pans and scream in the front yard like idiots and THEN we have our little parade around the house. We started the parade about 3 years ago and it is a hit. Things can get crazy but we have lots of fun!!
