My Precious

Here are some adorable pictures of my precious Ryan. They are from 2004 when he was almost 3. Wasn't he cute. These are the oldest pics I have on my laptop so I thought I would share my little booger when he was younger. I can't believe he is 6 and loosing all his teeth. Reading and swimming, oh my baby isn't a baby anymore.

Explanation

Here is a quick explanation as to why Kev and I went to Dr. Hofmann, the fertility doctor. I realized after you guys started asking questions that only Sonya, maybe Lura know the story. We have told so many people and don't hide any of it so I just assume everyone knows. Kevin had cancer at the age of 19. He was left basically sterile from the chemo. They stored some sperm before they started his chemo, but only enough for 2 rounds of artificial insemination , neither of which got me pregnant. We then went through the IVF cycle and only got 3 eggs to fertilize , they put all 3 back and still no pregnancy. So we started all over, this time 1 egg fertilized. Luckily it was a perfect little egg, my Ryan. We tried again when Ryan was about 3, they got lots of eggs again but not one fertilized. SO no pregnancy AGAIN! We are happy with our little miracle. We know that the odds are and were against us ever getting pregnant, they had to use a new procedure that had only been done once before to get us Ryan. He was a true miracle. As well as the miracles that saved Kevin's life, so we don't expect another one. Don't get me wrong I would love to have another bundle of joy but if it doesn't ever happen, I will be happy. It is a lot to put us through as well as Ryan, oh and the expense is way up there. SO there is the shortest version I could give you all. Any more questions let me know. It really doesn't bother me. I wish other people were more opened about it, more people would get help.

Lots of Babies

Here is a picture of a little over half the kids that were at the picnic. I can't imagine how big the picture would be if all there success were there. How cool would it be to be responsible for all those lives? They are really wonderful men those doctors. They were so happy and proud talking to all the kids and families. It was really cool to be a part of that. Ryan had a blast. They had free snow cones, tattoos, face painting, balloon animals for the kids. Plus tons of food and drinks. It was great. They gave away tons of prizes, including a free IVF cycle. Unfortunately we didn't win. Oh well.

These are the amazing doctors who gave us our precious little boy!! We went to a picnic for all the families of the fertility center on Sunday. Stay tuned for more pics later. Chow!

The Boys

Here are some pictures of the boys from Saturday. They had fun playing all day.

Little Hunters

Here are pictures of my little bug hunters. These are from Saturday at my Dad's house. Sawzy was too funny with his little net. He just followed Ryan around in the feild, never actually trying to catch anything but the cat. They were so cute. Ryan loves to catch bugs, anything really. He caught 2 praying mathises, lots of butterflies and lightning bugs. Crickets were everywhere and he caught a ton of those too. Sawyer loved looking at the bugs in the cages too.
