Pumpkin Math

On Wednesday I went into Ryan's class to help with pumpkin math. It was really neat and the kids loved it. Here are pics of my group and our pumpkin. We had to weigh it, measure it, count the seeds and carve it. Then we weighed it after everything was out of it. The kids loved the gross stuff! It was a great way for them to learn while having fun!

Ugly House NO More

say bye bye to my ugly house!! we are finally doing all the things i wanted to do when we moved here. today it all started. amy's husband and his new company are doing the work. (Hammerle Homes) Kevin happen to see amy's blog about him starting his business. it was perfect timing. they have ripped off the ugly shingles and should be putting new pretty ones on tomorrow!! then we are getting new vertical siding! it had to be ordered in the color i choose, (heathered Moss) but it should be in in about another week. yay. i am so excited. i hate the color of our house and the siding is starting to rot. we painted the porch last week. it is nice and white now and all matches the railing. the ugly shudders will be gone too. i will post more pics as things change. chow

Boy in a Hole

Kevin put a sump pump in our basement a few weeks ago. Ryan and Nick had a blast playing in the hole. It is filled in and working great now, no more fun though.

Saturday Night

Saturday night after Spook-o-ree the boys slept in a tent in our family room. They thought is was great. Logan wanted to sleep with the dogs. Well Mira got hot in the tent about 30 seconds after the pics were taken. Then about 3:45am Ryan starts screaming for me, I figured nightmares from the haunted trail, well no, he was then yelling "Violet keeps attacking me." She decided he had slept long enough and it was time to play, so she had to go back to her cage. All in all the boys seemed to really enjoy it.

Spook-O-Ree

Here are some pics from Spook-O-Ree. It was at the cub scout camp. There were games, hayride, fare food, prizes, haunted castle and a haunted trail. Oh an d trick or treating. The boys really enjoyed it all EXCEPT the haunted trail. It scared them to death and Cathy too. Ryan cried and Cathy screamed through the whole thing. Other than that and it being cold it was great.

Our Weekend

We had a fun filled weekend. We were very busy. Saturday Cathy took Ryan to the mall and to get Logan, Logan stayed the weekend and the boys had a blast. They got along great. We went to Spook-o-ree Saturday night, these are pics of the boys after they got their costumes on.

9th Anniversary

Yep, 9 years ago today I married my high school sweetheart and best friend. It doesn't seem like that long ago. The 9 years have been wonderful and I can't wait for the next 9 and more of course. Thank you honey for always being there for me I Love You!!

Before...yuck

we got our driveway redone this past week, it is wonderful and twice as wide now. after pics coming tomorrow. we are also getting a new roof and siding YAY!!!! i hate the color of our house so i can't wait until it is done!

My Den

Here is a picture of the boys in my Den. Den 8 is great!! This is right after they finished their squirrel feeders we built at our last meeting.

Movie review

We went to see the movie...Eagle Eye. It was actually really good. If you like the action films like Bourne Identity you'll love this one. It was hard picking a movie to see when you watch everything on tivo and never see any commercials.

Our Weekend

We had a very busy weekend. Friday we had our campfire for the cub scouts, Ryan didn't want to spend the night so we came home and went back in the morning. We got home about 10pm and were back at the camp at 8am for breakfast and the flag ceremony. I had training for being a cub scout leader so Ryan and Kevin went around and did all the fun camping stuff. BB's, Archery, crafts, and some sports. We got done at about noon and then Ryan had a birthday party at 2. Saturday night was the only time we had nothing planned. Well I went to pick Ryan up from his party and Kev wasn't home when we got back. Well a little while later the doorbell rang and Ryan went to get it, thinking it was Nick, he yells Mommy it is a sales guy. I go to the door and find Kevin all dressed up and with roses. He asked me out on a date. How sweet is he? We went out to Longhorn's and then did some shopping and finally to a movie. I'll post a movie review later. Sunday as soon as Ry got home from church we had to go to the cub scout rummage sale and work, we were done about 5 then I had a leaders meeting at 7pm. It was a very busy weekend and I am glad it is over, unfortunately every weekend in October is scheduled like that. Oh well, no time to get bored. i hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
