Halloween 2007

Here is our motley group heading out to trick or treat. Ryan's was thrilled that our neighbors grandkids came down to trick to treat with him. They all had fun and got tons of candy. They didn't stay out the whole time but still hit a lot of the neighborhood. So many people were giving out full sized candy bars the kids were thrilled. They were so funny.

How dumb can you be??

Kevin found this on one of his Disney boards. A lady called in an order for a cake over the phone to Wal-mart. She asked then to write Best Wishes Suzanne and underneath that We Will Miss you. This is the cake she got. They said it was too funny not to keep.

Seriously how dumb do you have to be to write that on a cake!

Happy Halloween

The picture of David and Ryan is from Halloween 2005.

Scary Spider

We went to Lowe's Saturday morning for the building project. We didn't know what it was before we got there. Ryan was thrilled to see that is was a spider. It was a really cute project. After we were finished ryan asked the man if he could get the fire truck that he missed when he was sick. The guy gave it to him and gave him 2 extra spiders to build at home. Ryan was so happy. He even got the fire truck patch, he was very upset when he was sick and missed it. Usually you can go and get past projects but you can't get the patch. It was a really nice day to go, there were tons of kids there. Usually when we go it is just us. We are going to continue to go a little later like this week, we are normally the first one there. This Saturday is the Home Depot one for anyone who wants to take their kiddo.

Money, Money, Money

You were suppose to sing my title!! I made my first $30.00 on Craig's list and I have lots of stuff selling on ebay. I think I am addicted to selling, which is a good thing because my Dad is addicted to buying. Seriously I call Kevin at work today and asked him what else I could sell. When I see those bids going up or I get an e-mail that someone wants my stuff I get so thrilled!! I know I am weird, the simplest things thrill me.

Halloween

It's almost Halloween!! Ryan is very excited. I am going to be Maleficent, I just got my costume in the mail. Have a wonderful weekend!!

Shaving Cream Fun

Ryan and Nick wanted play in shaving cream the other night. Ryan said they had too because Nick has never done it before. So since they HAD TO, we got it out. they had a blast. They were covered in it, it took Kevin quite some time to clean Nick off while I set up a shaving cream craft. They made marble paper. They really had a slot of fun. The mess was huge but well worht it for all the lovely paper we now have.

No More Billy Bob Tooth

Ryan finally lost that Billy Bob tooth that has been sticking out of his mouth for months. I am so happy. I may have to have his school pictures retaken since that stupid thing was in there when they were taken. Maybe not, I haven't seen the pictures yet. Anyway he looks adorable without that tooth. It is the 5th one he's lost and now he has another loose one.

Saturday

We went Geocaching on Saturday. It was so much fun and a good work out. We found 8 different ones. It was really fun, Ryan loved it. He said it was like looking for hidden pirate treasure. We went to a couple of different parks. Mom went with us. Oh one time we were crossing a creek and she grabbed a small tree for support that Kevin said would hold her. Well the tree pulled up out of the ground, she almost went into the creek. It was HILARIOUS!!! We all laughed so hard and Mom almost peed her pants. Ryan kidded her about it the rest of the day. We are definitely doing it again. Kev got us a GPS made for it so it really worked well. I can download the sites right to the GPS from my PC, then upload all the info when we get back right to my PC. It is great, very easy. You all should try it if you can, it is a great family activity. Plus it got me off my butt and moving! Fun stuff!!!

Family Fun Night

Friday we had our festival for Family Fun Night at Ryan's school. We had a lot of fun. Mom and Julia brought Ryan and Fred and Rita came a little later. David and I had to go a little early because we were volunteers. I worked at the ticket booth the first half of the event and David worked with his friend Brian at the baseball game. Ryan had a great time. We didn't win any of the baskets again this year, that sucked but the rest of the evening was a great success.

Geocaching

Well we went Geocaching yesterday. We found our first find. It was hard because we used my laptop. That is a large thing to carry around in the woods and we kept losing the signal but we did it. Ryan LOVED it. We found a little box where you left something and took something else. We got a geocoin that you move from geocache to geocache and track them online, it's pretty cool. We are going to put it in a new spot this weekend. Ryan also got a little thing of playdough. We left a smashed penny from Disney and some play money, this cache was suppose to have a cash theme. I'm not sure how playdough fits in but Ry was thrilled to find it. I think this is something we will do a lot and really enjoy. Kevin ordered us a GPS so it should get easier.

For Crystal

501 post

This is my 501st post. Boy that's a lot! I have nothing to post about really just a bunch of little stuff. Like Ryan is home sick today, he has the croup again. Boy baby. He has to stay home again tomorrow.

Kevin did our first geocache. It was right by his work, in a cemetery of all things. He got Ryan a Yoda watch and he is just thrilled. Kevin is going to get a GPS so we can do it on the weekends together. There are 2 in the park right by our house. I have a GPS on my laptop but we need a small one and more portable to do it. It should be fun. Ryan is excited to go on treasure hunts.

Crystal is a dork and real post nazi. Ummmm..I guess that is it. Chow now.

Anniversary

Kevin and I decided to celebrate our anniversary this weekend since the really date is in the middle of the week. We went out to Longhorn's (my favorite) and then we went to a movie. It was great to see an adult movie, non-animated. We saw the Bourne Ultimatum. It was really good, if you like the Bourne movies this one is a must see. I love Matt Damon. We had a wonderful night. We even went and looked around Wal-mart after the movie and didn't get home until after midnight, just like real adults. It was a great night, oh and I got these beautiful roses!!

Halloween Decorations

When we got home from Shaw's farm yesterday we decorated our yard for Halloween. Ryan is so into Halloween this year, he has always loved it but he is just nuts this year. We put up our corn stalk we got and the Scarecrows we had from a few years ago. I made a lovely gourd and pumpkin display, then Ryan tells me it looks like Thanksgiving not Halloween, not true it was a very natural display. Then Kev got out all the Halloween signs and stuff we had in the garage and Ryan was in HEAVEN! He has signs all over our yard. Thankfully Dad got most of them at an auction and gave them to us. You can certainly tell we are ready for Halloween now!

Shaw's farm

We went to Shaw's farm this afternoon. It was packed! I had only been there on the weekdays before, Oh MY there were so many people. We had a great time though. We did the corn maze. If you found 6 different punches before you got out you got a pumpkin at the end. We found them all. It was a lot of fun. We also took the hay ride. There were tons of animals to see, Ryan was thrilled. We bought lots of gourds and pumpkins ( yes, Dad we plan to save all the seeds for you). They had yummy apple cider!! We had some there and got some for home. Ryan loved showing Grammy all the pumpkin displays they had. It was a beautiful day for being out too. It wasn't too hot and there was a nice breeze. We all had a lot of fun. I am dirty now so I must go change my clothes. Chow ladies, have a wonderful day.
