Gingerbread

Here are pics of our gingerbread house and tree. The tree is really cute and it was sooooo easy, but not enough work and decorating for Ryan. He likes to do more. He really enjoyed the house. He came up with the idea of making the chimney. We used toostie rolls for the wood pile.

wow 800 posts you all should know everything about my life. Why am I posting at 4:33am? Well I had a horrible migraine all day, I slept for a couple hours this afternoon and my head was still killing me. My wonderful hubby went and got me some migraine medicine, well it seems to have worked pretty well finally, I still have a slight headache but that is a welcomed change. BUT the medicine had caffeine in it, that plus my nap and I am up and posting at 4:30am. I cleaned my kitchen which is good and straightened up the family room. I got 3 loads of laundry done!! I need to vacuum the living and dining rooms but I don't think Kev and Ryan would appreciate that right now!

Well I am off to switch laundry and maybe clean the bathroom. Or maybe I will just lay and watch some more Nick at nite. I am startig to feel yucky again. Night!

Finally Finished!!!!

The house is finished...YAY!!! And I love it!!! It looks so good. What do you guys think?

Not Quite Finished

Well they didn't quite finish the house today, they'll be back tomorrow. Here is a pic from the other day, I think it was Thanksgiving. I will get some pictures when they finish. Also a pic of my adorable doggies, don't they look like angels...pictures lie!!

News Update

We have been very busy. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Since then I have shopped a lot. I am almost finished Christmas shopping. Just a few more things to find and a few gift cards to get. I have most everything wrapped. Our trees are up and the outside is decorated. We also made a gingerbread tree and have almost finished our gingerbread house. I will get pics and post them soon.

Good news, they should finish the house tomorrow. I will take pics when they are finished and post them. I am so excited. It is looking so good. Now when I look at the picture I posted last of the house it doesn't look good at all. The white trim really makes it look nice, everything pops. I just love it.

Ryan is doing well in school. He is reading chapter books now and he is very proud of himself. He still doesn't want to read everyday but he is proud of how well he is doing. He gets his report card on Friday.

Kevin's head is nice and healed, now if his pride could just heal. HAHAHA!

Friday we have our pack meeting and Ryan gets to throw a pie in my face! He sold over $700 in popcorn. He was the packs top seller and very excited!! He is very proud of himself, he can't wait to have it announced to the whole pack. Also they get their pinewood derby car kits. That is very exciting for the scouts!

That is about it ladies. I will post pics as soon as I get them all taken and downloaded. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon.

good news and more good news

Well I have lots of good news. We finally got the siding and it finally stopped raining...SO we finally have progress on the house. I took the pics about 2:30pm, there is actually a lot more done now. I will take a new pic in the am. I am so happy!! I love the new color!!

Also while cleaning the family room today I found a baby lizard on the hearth. I couldn't believe it , I started screaming for Ryan to come help me catch it. I got our extra little cage and it took Ry and I forever to catch it but finally we did. I took pics but they aren't very good, he is very very small and moves quickly. the 2nd picture has my blurry pinky in it but you can tell how small he is.

We bought a new Christmas tree on Sunday. I loved my other tree but I hated putting the lights on, so Kev woke up Sunday and said let's go get a pre-lite tree. I love a ton of lights and I am very picky about trees so I never thought we'd find one I loved. Well we did at the 1st store, Garden Ridge. It was on sale for $100 off. We also got a revolving tree stand Ryan loves it. He was surprised when he got home and saw it. It has white lights which I have never liked before but I love the brightness, it has 650 white lights, I also added 400 led colored lights, it is great!!! We haven't decorated it yet, I will post pics once we do. Kevin out up Ryan's tree tonight too, just the tree, it is pre-lit too.

I am almost finished cleaning. Just the huge job of the kitchen and a few other things. I finally got all the shopping done for Thanksgiving. We will be a group of about 15 this year. We are going to have so much yummy stuff, then we will set out all our ads and plan our route!!

I am so ready for the Holidays!!!
