Snow Much FUN

Ryan was out in the snow for a little over 5 hours. He was so bundled he could hardly breathe and keep complaining that he was hot. Once he was rolling in the snow I think he felt pretty good. He loved the fact that David was here. Dad and Julia have no electric so they came here this morning and are spending the night, which also thrills Ryan. Luckily Ryan doesn't have school tomorrow again so I don't have to try and get him to go to sleep at 8:30pm with David here. They played outside for awhile and then Ryan went down the street and went sledding with his friends. I should have taken pics of that, they were so cute. They called David down to see them and ambushed him with snowballs. They thought they were hilarious! Hope everyone had a fun snowday!

Demo at Dad's

Here is what we did all weekend. We tore Dad's house apart. We tore out a bathroom, closet, pantry and part of his kitchen. Eventually we are going to tear out the rest of the kitchen and then put it back much bigger and then put the bathroom back in. It will take some time but it is fun! Well I thought it was fun. I got to use a sledge hammer! David and Kevin both stepped on nails and hurt their feet but other than that things went smoothly! Look at the ugly walls that someone had in that kitchen! UGLY!! the green and yellow tiles are made of tin, we found like 4 layers of walls. None of them pretty.

Sammy Update

Sammy's surgery is over and everything went well. He is in some pain but doing well. thanks for the prayers. I am sure Sonya will post about it when she has time.

Floor Pics

Here are the pics of the new floor and walls. The colors don't look the same in the pics. The dining room is a light tan on top and a dark brown on the bottom. The living room is a light grey. We love it. I still have to get all my stuff back on the walls but other than that we are finished.

First Skating Party

Once a month they have a skating party at Castle Skate in Loveland for Ryan's school. He has never wanted to go before but decided he wanted to do it this month. We picked up 2 of his friends and went. He has never skated before. He got his skates on and I was tying his friends skates look up and he was gone. He clung to the wall for a bit and then the girls dragged him off. He fell a lot but did very well for never being on skates before. He was doing really well by the time we left. He had a lot of fun. Tons of his friends were there. They also bought blowup hammers and had a little war. It was a good night for all!! Looks like we'll be going every month!

What a Morning!

Oh my this morning sucked!! I got up to a horrible smell, Violet was sick. A few days ago she ate an entire chicken carcass. Well she was passing blood this morning. I had to clean up her cage and get Ryan ready for school. Meanwhile Kevin carried Violet up to our shower and cleaned her up. She was still passing blood so we took her to the animal hospital. Well it turns out she is fine. Her stomach and colon are irritated. She is on medicine and can't eat all day today, then she should be fine. So many hours and 300 bucks later our baby is fine! It was a scare but all is well.

The good news is we got the dining room floor completely done last night and should be able to lay the rest of the living room floor tonight! I am so excited. All the painting is done, the floor will be down tonight. Then we have to do the floor boards and put everything back. The furniture is all around the house and I have tons of pictures and shelves to put back on the walls. The hardest part for me will be putting everything back in my curios! By the end of the weekend we hope to be finished with everything.

Well I have lots of laundry and cleaning up to do. CIAO!!
