Ryan's new pets

We let Ryan keep the lizards we caught in Disney. He has 4 of them. We stopped on the way home and bought all their supplies and a cage. We spent over $200 on our free lizards! But we all really enjoy them. They are so fun to watch! Kevin is building a stand for them so we can keep them in the family room. They are all doing well. The first day didn't go so well. That is what the pictures are of. We got them all set up in their cage and were watching them. I go outside to get a few sticks for them to climb on and when i come back in Julia, and Kevin are dying laughing and David is under my dining room table. Well they all just stop and stare at me when I come in. Well my genius husband opened the package of 24 live crickets and spilled them. David was catching them and trying to keep the girls from eating or stepping on them. They caught them all and he did it again!! We were all crawling around on the floor catching crickets. Once we finally caught them all it was pretty funny. The only probably I had with keeping the lizards was that we had to feed them live crickets. Crickets drive me crazy...they are so loud. If you get one in the house it drives me crazy for weeks. Well these are the tiniest little crickets I have ever seen and they aren't noisy so ti has worked out well. we all love watching them, even Nick. They all have names and different "personalities".

mom is out of the hospital. she will be here at my house for the next couple weeks!

Star Wars Weekends

Ryan absolutely loves Star Wars so the Star Wars weekends were a great thing for him. He got to see so many characters he loves!! And I think I mentioned that he got to fight Darth Maul in the Jedi academy. He was just thrilled!!

Mom update

Mom's surgery went well. They removed about 12" of her colon. She is in a room now and very sleepy. I am going to go down and visit in a few hours. I will post again later. Thanks for the prayers.

My new couch came today!! I am so excited. It looks great. I will post pics sometime soon. We took the old one down to Mom's. I hooked up her Wii so she has the couch and everything set up in a little "playroom". Plus Cathy can use it for her grandkids who are going to be staying the week with her at Mom's apartment this next week. Mom's surgery is at 7:30am tomorrow please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I will let you all know something as soon as we do.

We made it home. We are all tired! We had to stop and buy a cage for Ryan's new pets. We caught lizards in Florida and brought them home. I have lots of pics and funny stories about their arrival home. Maybe I can get to that tomorrow.

Back on the road again

Well we are heading home. I have read all your blogs. I didn't comment on them because I had to get caught up and no one will read old comments anyway. I will comment on here for what i remember. Charity I am glad the boys like their baseball teams and no one needs glasses. Lura, Good luck on the restart on the weight loss, I dread going home to the scale. Disney wasn't nice to the waistline I fear!! Amanda...Boy I missed something?? I am so proud of you for really putting yourself out there with your feelings!! Good for you. I agree with everything you said too. I know exactly where you are coming from even though I apparently missed the post that generated your post. Happy birthday to everyone. Love the stories about your dad! Mean with the bunny joke but funny now!!

Dad has more pics on his blog of our vacation too. I will be posting them for weeks I'm sure. We really had a nice time. Ryan got to dot he Jedi training again and got to fight Darth Maul...A HUGE DEAL to him!! He was thrilled. He rode Splash Mountain for the first time and LOVED it!! He is also an honorary pirate under the order of Jack Sparrow. Oh we saw a real alligator at our hotel and then again driving down the road...very exciting. Yuck today we saw a HUGE snake all the way across the road! It has been an okay drive back so far. We sang 99 bottles of beer on the wall. We will be at our hotel in about 15 minutes to stop for the night and then up early and home tomorrow. Now that we are on our way I can't wait to get home. Ryan misses the girls so bad! We hear Violet is being a rotten snot at home so hopefully her fit will end when we bring her boy home.
